Help us to continue championing classics in state schools
We invite you to consider leaving a gift in your will to Classics for All. Gifts in wills can help us plan for the future, develop our regional networks and improve educational opportunities for young people.
To find out more about this generous way of supporting us, please download our legacy booklet or contact us at [email protected], to request a printed version or arrange a confidential conversation.
A legacy pledge from you today will sow the seeds for the future and allow even more state school pupils to discover and learn from the ancient world’s languages, history and culture.
Gifts in wills are free from Inheritance Tax and there are three types of gift that you can leave: a residual gift (the remainder or a percentage of your estate), a pecuniary gift (cash) or a specific legacy (an item of personal property, such as jewellery or shares). Pledging a legacy gift for the future will enable your commitment to our work for the long-term and we are grateful for legacies of all sizes.
We always recommend using a solicitor to create or amend a will. If you already have one, you can complete a simple codicil form to update it. You can download our form here or contact us to request a paper version at [email protected]
Marcus Aurelius Circle
To thank our donors within their lifetime, we invite everyone who has pledged a gift in their will to join the Marcus Aurelius Circle.
'A man doing good does not trumpet his deeds but goes on to repeat them, like a vine bearing grapes season after season.’ Marcus Aurelius, (AD 161-180), Meditations 5
We are delighted to honour our existing members: Nicholas Barber CBE, Marion Gibbs CBE, Matthew Lindsey-Clark, Tessa Smith and those who choose to remain anonymous.
